We will be having a grade-level probability carnival on Wednesday, June 10, 2015.
Students have been grouped according to their teacher.
Each team has a sheet of requirements and steps.
All members must participate.
All members need to bring a bag of individually wrapped candies to give as prizes. Make sure the candy is nut free!! Don't bring gum, please.
Important key terms:
event- the thing that happens
outcome- result of what happens
likelihood- the chances of a specific events
Teachers will provide:
Students must be sure to include:
-a model of the game in advance
-enough candy to share with the grade level
When setting up your game, keep in mind that the more difficult an outcome is, the better it should be rewarded.
For example, if something is nearly impossible, you would reward the player with MORE candy.
All participants must get candy for playing.
PLEASE BE SURE TO HAVE ALL SUPPLIES AT SCHOOL BY THE DAY OF THE CARNIVAL! DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE!!! YOUR TEAM (and grade level) IS COUNTING ON YOU!
